Overview

Rittal supplies the physical layer of data centres, from micro and containerised sites to halls. The IT infrastructure range covers modular container-housed data centres, IT rack systems and 19-inch enclosures, IT power distribution and backup, and IT monitoring of physical parameters. IT cooling spans direct liquid cooling for AI and HPC loads, LCP rear-door heat exchangers, liquid cooling packages and units, small cooling units and IT room cooling including the CyberAir 3PRO CW/DX and CyberAir Mini CW systems from the Stulz portfolio, plus chillers and hot or cold aisle containment. Roof- and wall-mounted Blue e+ IT cooling units add IoT interfaces for monitoring and energy management, and the RiMatrix Data Centre Configurator supports planning.

Editorial verdict

Fits operators specifying the physical layer for AI or HPC rooms, where racks, power distribution, direct liquid cooling, rear-door heat exchangers and aisle containment need to come from one vendor with interface responsibility. Blue e+ units add monitoring interfaces and the RiMatrix configurator supports planning. The trade-off is that this is hardware and services rather than software: no price list or API is recorded, quoting runs through distributors, and efficiency outcomes depend on the design and controls rather than a subscription. Teams wanting software-only DCIM should look elsewhere.
